Pangani

The journey is usually made by plane via Zanzibar, Daressalam or Arusha. Various airlines serve these airports. The flight time from Europe is around 8 hours, usually with stopovers in Ethiopia, Turkey, Abu Dhabi, etc. and costs between 600 and 1200 euros per ticket, depending on the season.

Arrival via Zanzibar

Zanzibar is a very well-known tourist island off the coast of Tanzania. Diving, partying, picturesque sandy beaches, kite surfing, and much more attract many visitors every year.

Short and sweet about Nungwi

In the very north of Zanzibar lies the picturesque village of Nungwi .

From here you can currently take a light 10-person motorboat or a slower motorized wooden boat for 20 people to the mainland directly to Pangani.

The trip usually starts in the morning at around 8 a.m. due to the tides and weather

and takes between 2 and 4 hours depending on the boat and conditions.

Experienced captains sail skillfully across the open sea. The trips can be anything from quite adventurous to relaxed, as the sea and weather always have a say.

Every now and then, the thirst for adventure is rewarded with sightings of whales, dolphins, tuna, flying fish, ...up close.

Large catamaran ferries travel to Daressalam several times a day via the historic city of Stonetown in the west of the island.

Departures currently at 07:30, 09:00, 12:30 and 16:00. Travel time just under 2 hours

From the impressive capital of Tanzania, Daressalam , it takes about 10 hours by public bus to Pangani.
